  • We’re seeking an experienced QC supervisor for our High-Pressure Processing Department.

    Roles/Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and monitor the inspection and testing of products to ensure adherence to quality standards
    • Follow inspection protocols and sampling procedures
    • Complete final product inspection records
    • Complete daily sanitation and inspections forms
    • Observe and ensure proper employee sanitation, hygiene and PPE
    • Ensure product packaging and labelling requirements are met
    Qualifications:
    • Supervisory experience
    • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
    • Organizational and communication skills
    • Knowledge of the lobster industry is an asset
    • Knowledge and/or experience with BRCGS for Food Safety is an asset
    • Availability to work flexible hours when necessary

  • Job Description: Load the high-pressure processing (HPP) machine, separate meat from the shell, inspect lobster, load and unload freezers, weigh, package and label product, and perform cleaning/sanitizing.

    Location: 136 Dakin Park Rd., Digby, Nova Scotia

    Wage: $15.46 per hour (includes $2.00 per hour incentive during pandemic)

    Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
    Full Time / Permanent
    No experience necessary, training provided 
    Job conditions: standing for extended periods, cool/damp
    Bus transportation provided on main routes from Cornwallis, Digby, and Weymouth

  • Job Description: Production workers in our live department receive live lobsters, sink lobsters in holding tanks, grade lobsters and pack orders for shipping.

    Duties

    • Grade lobster
    • Lift and move lobster crates
    • Load sorting machine with lobster
    • Sort lobster by weight
    • Sink lobster in holding tanks
    • Clean and sanitize floors and workstations
    • Additional duties may be required

  • Job Description: As a night cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring strict standards of sanitation and cleanliness at our lobster production facility in Centreville, Digby Neck, Nova Scotia.

    Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 1 AM
    Wage: $15.46 ($13.46 + $2.00 Pandemic Premium)
    Must have own transportation.
    Full-time / Seasonal
    Duties include but are not limited to:
    – Wash and rinse lobster totes
    – Removing all waste totes and disposing of it in the proper manner
    – Clean and sanitize equipment and utensils
    – Clean and sanitize pallets, walls, floors, pans, doors, lights, etc.
    – Notify management of any repairs required
    – Tackle heavy cleaning jobs
    – Drain cleaning
    Required qualifications:
    – Attention to detail: you will need to deliver a high level of service to meet sanitary expectations and requirements.
    – Maintaining the strength and mobility to kneel, stoop, bend and lift.
    – Dependable and self-motivated.
    – Effective time management: ensure all delegated cleaning tasks are completed during shift.
    Ultimately, you will be part of a cleaning team that is responsible for nightly disinfection and sanitation procedures.
    You will ensure our facility:
    – Complies with local/ international legislation and food safety standards
    – Maintains positive audit and inspection outcomes
    – Presents a hygienic visual image
    – And allows for maximum plant productivity.
